Date Palm Self Storage is a proposed climate-controlled self-storage project with opportunities for shopping and dining fronting Date Palm Drive in Cathedral City.

The enclosed climate-controlled facility has been thoughtfully designed by nationally renowned architects SGW and landscape architects DNA to enhance the Date Palm corridor and surrounding community. The developers are seasoned builders of quality self-storage facilities using state-of-the-art materials that support sustainability and best practices throughout the project.

This project will benefit the surrounding community and neighbors:

  • Creates a barrier from the noise and traffic of Date Palm.
  • Increases security with the addition of fencing, cameras, and lighting.
  • Activates the dirt lot, which blows sand and debris into homes and people’s lungs.
  • Adds several civic enhancements including sidewalk expansion and a deceleration lane off Date Palm.

About the Project

Location: Along the east side of Date Palm Drive between McCallum and Rosemount.

Operation: The facility will be managed by a national, best in class self-storage operator with a solid reputation in the industry.

Hours: The proposed hours of operation would be in alignment with best practices. Office hours will likely be 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and gate access will be 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. This will not be a 24-hour facility.
